We've been working harder than ever to recruit physicians and add services for our growing community since we moved to our new facility in 2006.

Our surgical program leads our rapidly expanding services. Our goal is to ease the stress of surgery and your anxiety by offering quality care, close to home.

Expanded Surgical Services
We're pleased to offer the following new surgical services:

Orthopedics: Orthopedic surgeon Paul Lifland, MD, performs a number of advanced bone and joint surgeries. Some of the procedures offered are:

• Total hip and knee replacements
• Rotator cuff repair
• Arthroscopy

Gastroenterology: General surgeon Alfonso Aguirre, MD, uses minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques for many procedures, including:

• Colon cancer surgery
• Gallbladder removal
• Hernia repair

Podiatry: Gabriel Rodriguez, DPM, and his associate, Angela Schladoer, DPM, who joined his practice, The Podiatry Group of South Texas in August 2008, offers services for adults and children. Their services include:

• Foot surgeries to correct bone and tissue deformities, such as bunions and hammertoes
• Preventive foot care for people with diabetes
• Excessively sweaty feet
